Rondo played 65 games with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017-18, averaging 8.3 points and 8.2 assists per game for a team that reached the second round of the playoffs.
Davis was also arguably at his best that year as well, averaging a career-high 28.1 points per game to go with 11.1 rebounds and an NBA-best 2.6 blocks per game.
However, Rondo left for the Los Angeles Lakers the following season and the Pelicans fell well out of playoff contention, leading to Davis' trade request and eventual departure from the organization.
The two are now reunited in Los Angeles along with James, Danny Green and others, creating one of the top contenders in the NBA.
"I think we have a great group of guys—no one causing locker room problems and nobody who wants to go out there and be selfish; nobody who wants to showcase their skills rather than do what’s best for the team," Davis added.
